This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them. My process is relaxed and flowing, and my only goal is to capture your authentic self.

Meet
So everyone feels comfortable and accustomed to each other, we’ll have a quick call to discuss things and plan everything out.
Picture time
We’ll meet, talk, connect, and get to know each other. In the meantime, I will be preparing the equipment so we can jump right into it.
Image delivery
Within 14 working days, you will receive your edited pictures, to see yourself in all your natural glory.
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
The first thing you should know - there’s no need to be nervous. No one expects you to be a professionally trained model. Nor is that needed! We’re just two people hanging out, taking pictures, and enjoying the moment. Half of the time you won’t need to do anything at all, just relax and be yourself. I will be with you every step of the way and guide you through the whole process.
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in. You can dress up if you wish to do so, you’re the star of the show, after all. It’s completely up to you. Consider wearing an outfit that you choose when you want to dress up, but just a little. The one that’s not your fanciest, but it just gives you that extra confidence, because it’s just so…You.
How many pictures will I receive?
Depends on the type of session and will be communicated in the pricing or through direct corresponence. After we’re done with the session we’ll go through the process of selection, after which I will start editing. It takes 1-2 weeks to go through all the images, select the best ones, and retouch them. You will receive an online gallery dedicated to you.
Are you available outside of the Northern Rivers?
I am readily available to work in the Northern Rivers from Byron Bay, the Tweed Coast, as well as the southern Gold Coast. I'm also available to travel to further destinations and we can work out travel details. Just fill out the contact form including the location details.
Where is your studio located?
DRH studio is a studio and its not a studio.
I specialise in natural low light photography using the environment (usually by the beach) and I also have a studio in Casuarina with natural lighting affects, mainly used for products and headshots.
There are also two larger studios we use, one in Byron Bay and the other in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast for larger scale projects.
What equipment do you use or have available"
On the ground, I am currently using a Canon R5 full frame mirrorless camera with a variety of L series lenses and a Canon film camera with L series lenses. Underwater I'm using an Aquatech housing with a variety ports for different looks and lenses. In the air I'm using a DJI drone that adds a little extra magic to shoots and also used purposefully for aerial photography.
